Today a home network is just as useful and cost
effective as an office network. With the recent
advancements in broadband technology, residential
users are now able to utilize many of the same
benefits that network users have been receiving
all along:
- Many computers all share (1) Internet Connection
via a router.
- Share printers, modems and fax machines over
the network.
- Host web sites, intranets, and share other
office documents.
- Utilize routers, hubs and switches, to expand
an existing network.
NoBS Technology offers the following services
from our Residential & Commercial Networking
Division:
Quotes on commercial
division services are subject to a site survey.
Due to the extra considerations required in a
commercial environment all sites must be surveyed
by our staff before any quotes may be given.
Our network wiring is
installed according to industry standards.
We specialize in ethernet wiring, 802.3 IEEE Standards.
This wiring standard applies to all modern ethernet
office wiring and is the current choice of professionals
due to it's ease of installation, low equipment
costs, and virtually no maintenance costs once
installed. Our network technicians are professionals
and have installed many feet of cable in the Tampa
Bay area. Residential Wiring is generally quoted
as $ 1.50 per foot of cable run. This fee covers
the cost of the wire, the connectors on each end
of the wire and the labor to run the wire.
Our technician will connect
your cable modem to a router, connect all
the computers in the house to the router and configure
all equipment necessary. This service is also
available with the wiring package mentioned above.
Every computer on an ethernet
network needs some way to connect itself to the
ethernet cable. Generally this device is called
a NIC Card or a (network interface card). In order
for a computer to connect to the network this
card must be present and configured properly with
the correct network information.
Network only function
when all computers on them are configured correctly.
That is to say they all have unique names, addresses,
and routing information. New networks must be
configured correctly before any equipment may
be shared or files transferred.
